NL Health Services is seeking applications for the position of Division Head ?????? Hospitalist (CNRHC), Family Medicine Program. This position is accountable for the leadership and management of their clinical program(s) for the Central Zone. This includes providing professional quality medical services and knowledge to deliver optimum levels of service in an interdisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care. The Division Head will promote and maintain positive relationships with all clients, patients, visitors and staff. The Division Head is accountable to the Central Zone, Family Medicine program Clinical Chief.? The term is three years with annual review, which may be extended for an additional three years pursuant to NLHS Bylaws Respecting Medical Staff. We are looking for individuals who have strong leadership and communication capabilities, can motivate team members, move projects forward and can translate innovative ideas into reality.? ? Responsibilities:? ???? ? ? Service leadership and overall supervision of clinical care, both inpatient and ambulatory, given by members of the Division? ???? ? ? The convening and chairing of service meetings with minimum of five meetings to be held in each calendar year. The agenda of these meetings should include a review of clinical affairs within the Services, the liaison with other professional groups such as nursing, social work and physiotherapy and liaison within the Program Leadership Team.? ???? ? ? Coordination of undergraduate and post graduate teaching, in liaison with individual. program directors as required.? ???? ? The promotion of research. ? ???? ? Coordination within interdisciplinary colleagues for teaching and research.? ???? ? ? At the direction of the Clinical Chief conduct Physician Performance Appraisals and address any areas of concerns for the physicians in their division.? ? Qualifications? ???? ? Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons ofNewfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL).???? ? Current appointment to medical staff of NLHS.???? ? Demonstrates commitment to patient-focused care and evidence-based practice.???? ? Experience and/or academic preparation in health care management or leadership.???? ?
