Calvary Place is a faith-based personal care home founded in Pentecostal traditions and adheres to the Statement of Essential Truths of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. The Chaplain provides spiritual care, guidance and support to elders, families and staff while modelling person?directed care and Christian values. The role includes planning and leading spiritual programs and services, assessing spiritual needs, participating in interdisciplinary team care, and fostering meaningful community connections. The Chaplain contributes to organizational leadership, and helps create a compassionate, engaging environment where elders can feel the love of God every day.

*Required Qualifications for Accepting This Position:*

* I have a degree in Theology; or a Chaplaincy Certificate or Clinical Pastoral Education accepted by the Canadian Association for Pastoral Practice and Education (CAPPE) or equivalent education and experience. Credentialing approved by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada strongly preferred.
* I have at least three years of relevant spiritual leadership experience.
* I have the knowledge or would be willing to learn to provide spiritual care to individuals with cognitive impairment and/or in end-of-life situations.
* I communicate with well-developed written and verbal communication skills. I can fluently read, write and speak English. My ability to speak another language would be considered an asset.
* I interrelate well with others and establish positive relationships with elders, their families, other staff members, volunteers and the public.
* I can manage the associated physical, emotional and psychological demands of the work involved.

· I have a general understanding of computers and associated technology and programs required in the everyday work of the Chaplain.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
