Position Summary : Reporting to the Payroll & Total Rewards Manager, the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator is a professional individual contributor responsible for supporting the accurate and timely delivery of payroll, benefits, pension, and compensation administration for Canadian employees. POSITION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: PAYROLL: Prepare, process, and reconcile full?cycle bi?weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple jurisdictions in accordance with legislative requirements, company policies and complex union contracts. Administer payroll?related changes including new hires, terminations, earnings, deductions, benefits enrolments, and status changes within the HRIS and timekeeping systems. Review payroll data for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and liaise with payroll vendors and internal partners to resolve issues in a timely manner. Prepare, analyze, and distribute recurring and ad?hoc payroll and benefits reports to support audits, reconciliations, and decision?making. Support year?end payroll activities, including reconciliations, adjustments, and T4 preparation. Respond to employee payroll inquiries with a high standard of customer service, providing clear and accurate information. Maintain payroll systems and employee records to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries as required.
