*Job Summary*
At Good Earth Coffeehouse, we love great coffee and so do our Baristas. Coffee and espresso are the heart of our business. We take great pride and care in the quality of our coffee and the training of our baristas and team. We are seeking a friendly and motivated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, providing an exceptional experience for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. We are hiring part time baristas for three of our locations GoodEarth-HRIC, GoodEarth-Education Block and GoodEarth-Kinesiology.

*Duties*

* Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages according to standard recipes.
* Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
* Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
* Assist with food preparation and service as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
* Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
* Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; assist with restocking as necessary.
* Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.

*Skills*

* Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions.
* Experience with cashiering and operating Point of Sale (POS) systems is preferred.
* Knowledge of food industry practices, including food handling and preparation techniques.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
