Thisleadership role is well suited for an experienced early childhood professional who iscommitted to high-quality care, staff collaboration, and positive relationships with childrenand families.Role SummaryThe Assistant Director supports the Centre Director in the daily operation of the child carecentre. This role provides leadership to staff, assists with administrative duties, and ensurescontinuity of operations. The Assistant Director assumes responsibility for the centre in theDirectors absence.Key Responsibilities Support daily centre operations to ensure consistency and compliance with licensingrequirements Assume Director responsibilities when the Director is absent or unavailable Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to educators Assist with staff orientation, training, scheduling, and supervision Support performance monitoring and contribute to staff evaluations Help monitor program quality and classroom environments Communicate daily information to parents and caregivers as required Assist with coordinating schedules, supplies, and daily centre logisticsRequirements ECE Level 3 certification, or ECE Level 2 certification with willingness to enroll in ECE Level 3 courses Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Commitment to professionalism and confidentialityHow to ApplyPlease submit your resume and a brief cover letter by email to: director@awaywegrowmelville.comWe thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will becontacted.
