*Position: Art Gallery Manager*

Luminato Gallery is located in Toronto, Ontario. We are currently seeking an Art Gallery Manager to manage the Gallery and assist with client relationships and brand visibility.

The ideal candidate will develop client relationships and generate gallery sales through walk in traffic and extensive outreach, with a primary focus on creating new business and nurturing existing relationships. The candidate must dedicate themselves to developing a strong understanding of the gallery?s represented artists and artworks in order to effectively market the gallery and its artists to clients. Responsibilities include daily gallery operations, addressing client inquires and concerns, establishing a strong social media presence, managing art exhibitions.

*Job Responsibilities:* Including but not limited to

- Manage Gallery daily operations and sales

- Curate outstanding artworks for the Gallery

- Plan and organize events and art exhibitions

- Charismatically and enthusiastically engage with clients

- Grow Luminato Gallery?s brand by developing a strong social media presence and gallery marketing

- Maintain detailed notes on client tastes/preferences to anticipate client needs through follow-ups and gallery offerings.

- Respond to client inquiries by phone, online, and in person

- Update and Manage client and inventory databases.

*Job Requirements & Qualifications:*

- Bachelor?s Degree (B.A.) from a four year university in Art History or a related field

- Minimum 3 years of sales management experience, art industry experience is preferred

- Art handling experience

- Strong knowledge of contemporary art and the art market

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Familiarity with the art community, collectors, and artists

*Salary: *$55,000 - 65,000, plus 2% commission on all sales paid out quarterly

*Job Type:* Full time

*Working Hours: *11:00 am ? 7:00 pm Tuesday to Saturday / 1 hour lunch

*Education Level: *Bachelor degree minimum
