Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Tasks: Respond to fire alarms and other calls for assistance. Control and extinguish fires using manual and power equipment. Maintain firefighting equipment. Assist police, the public and emergency organizations during major disasters. Operate heavy equipment. Complete reports to record problems and work performed. Review work orders . Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Firefighter Certificate Level I and II. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) - level 1. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) - level 2. First Aid Certificate. Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. CPR Certificate.
