The South Peace Division of Family Practice and the South Peace Primary Care Network (PCN) support primary care delivery across Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, Tumbler Ridge, and surrounding rural and Indigenous communities in beautiful northeastern British Columbia.

We are seeking a *highly organized and motivated Administrative Assistant* to join our team and support the operational success of our organization.
*Position Summary*
The Administrative Assistant provides high-quality administrative support to the South Peace Division of Family Practice to ensure effective operations and alignment with organizational priorities.
This role supports strategic initiatives, communications, meeting coordination, project tracking, database management, and general office administration within a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, excellent organizational ability, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively.
*Key Responsibilities*
Administrative & Office Support
* Provide administrative support including correspondence, reports, briefing notes, and document formatting
* Maintain electronic and physical filing systems and ensure records are accurate and accessible
* Maintain contact lists for physicians, members, and stakeholders
* Support onboarding information and administrative updates
* Manage office supplies and provide basic equipment support
Communications
* Respond to inquiries from physicians, members, committees, and external stakeholders
* Support preparation and distribution of communications including newsletters, website updates, and member updates
Meeting & Event Coordination
* Coordinate logistics for meetings and events (virtual and in-person)
* Prepare agendas, schedule meetings, and manage invitations
* Record and distribute meeting minutes and action items
* Support planning of events such as AGMs, workshops, and community engagement activities
Project & Database Support
* Assist with project coordination and tracking of action items
* Maintain program databases, registries, and tracking systems
* Compile information and data to support reporting and evaluation activities
Relationship Development
* Foster positive relationships with Division members, committees, and external partners
* Contribute to a collaborative and respectful team culture
* Support inclusive engagement practices in meetings and communications
Culturally Safe & Inclusive Practice
* Support communications and activities that reflect principles of cultural safety, humility, equity, and inclusion
* Ensure meetings and communications are inclusive and accessible
Other Duties
* Support basic financial processes such as sessional payments
* Perform other administrative duties as assigned
*Qualifications/Education*
* Post-secondary education in *Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field*
* University degree or equivalent certification considered an asset
Experience
* 1?3 years of administrative support experience (healthcare, non-profit, or primary care environment preferred)
* Experience with database and records management
Skills & Competencies
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Experience with collaboration platforms such as *Zoom, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or Google Drive*
