Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Asset languages: Spanish; Castilian. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Wet/damp. Tasks: Operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions. Check products for quality control. Operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs or other stone products to specific shape or design and to produce a smooth finish. Perform ongoing machine adjustments. Operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications. Perform routine maintenance. Load and off-load machines. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Forklift Operator Certification. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Ability to work independently. Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
