Your role will include the following:SOC Operator is a shift lead role, responsible for the oversight of the security platoonResponsible for orienting guards to their respective rolesAssist in tracking and deployment of security staffMonitor and operate numerous command centre systems including, access control, CCTV, fire and life safety. Make emergency overhead announcementsCollaborate with the Security Coordinator on special projectsAssist in training new staffAnswer Telephones and dispatch calls from the command centreHandle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking. Liaise with security staff, Paladin Operations Centre and assist with deploymentLiaise with visitors, clients and staffManage Lost & FoundManage the issuance and return of facility keys and ID/Access cardsIssue Visitor and Contractor badgesEssential Job Functions:Be courteous and cooperative with a high quality of customer service.Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures.Must be able to communicate clearly with clinical staff, and the general public while conveying professionalism and authority at all times.Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.Write clear, concise, and legible reports.Communicates any concerns/issues with Site Coordinator.Requirements:A Valid Ontario Security Guard LicenseProficient in English (both oral and written)Degree in Police Foundations, Protection, Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border ServicesProof of double Covid VaccinationImmunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2)Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification (Wsib Approved) Experience working in a command or dispatch centre would be an assetAuthorized to legally work in Canada#IND1
