*Safety Officer*

The Safety Officer is responsible for providing onsite direction on the company?s occupational health and safety programs to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, regulations, codes and practices.

*Job Duties and Responsibilities*

· Coordinating and administering an effective health and safety program and providing expert technical advice and guidance in the interpretation and application of occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, codes and practices;

· Facilitating the delivery of effective health and safety training programs;

· Ensuring that the Pronghorn Controls Safety Manual, clear guidelines and standards are in force for all work activities and job procedures, including the provision and use of personal safety equipment and the maintenance and operation of equipment;

· Assisting in incident investigations, analyzing and preparing incident reports and summaries;

· Conducting facility inspections and safety audits on a regular basis to monitor safe work practices and procedures, preparing inspection reports and ensuring that corrective action is taken whenever deficiencies are identified;

· Collaborating with the Manager, QHSE to ensure occupational health and safety programs meet legislative compliance.

*Qualifications*

· accreditation as a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO)

· 5 years of experience organizing and managing health and safety programs, preferably in the oil and gas industry sector in a related service industry.
