*Job Summary*
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our one-of-a-kind local business that celebrates beauty, creativity and connection! Reminiscence is a unique blend of fresh flowers, giftware and jewellery store in Lac La Biche, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and promoting our products through effective sales techniques. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and have a passion for retail sales, creating joy, building relationships, customer engagement and going the extra mile for the customer.

*Duties*

* Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
* Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits.
* Utilize sales skills to explain product specifications and answer customer inquiries.
* Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions efficiently, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
* Maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandise displays to enhance the shopping experience.
* Suggesting products by identifying customer needs and suggesting complementary items to add on.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
* Demonstrate effective time management skills to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during shifts.
* Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product offerings to assist customers effectively.
* Connect with customers on phone for phone sales and cold calling.
* Take online courses as offered in sales, floral and marketing.
* Cleaning, processing flowers and janitorial duties as needed.
* Have a valid driver's license for floral delivery.
* Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. on a regular basis.
* Must have a clean criminal record.
* Work hours are Monday-Friday 9:30 am - 5:30 pm, Saturdays 9:30 am - 4:30 pm. Occasional Sundays and longer hours during floral holiday times and events.

*Experience*

* Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office and computers is a plus.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this role.
* Proficiency in organizational skills to manage time, inventory and merchandising effectively.
* Ability to demonstrate phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone.
