*Position Overview*
*Consulting Psychiatrist*
* Provide psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and medication management for youth 13?29.
* Collaborate with psychologists and practitioners to develop comprehensive, culturally informed treatment plans.
* Participate in case conferences and supervise complex cases within the multidisciplinary team.
*Consulting Psychologist*
* Conduct psychological evaluations and deliver individual and group therapy tailored to adolescent development and cultural contexts.
* Employ modalities such as CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to address trauma, mood disorders, and identity issues.
* Lead training sessions for clinical practitioners in trauma-informed and culturally competent care.
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Clinical Leadership:* Guide treatment planning, risk assessment, and crisis intervention in collaboration with the team.
* *Consultation:* Advise on complex cases, ensuring best practices in psychopharmacology (psychiatrist) and evidence-based psychotherapy (psychologist).
* *Capacity Building:* Mentor provisional clinicians and social workers, fostering professional development and quality assurance.
* *Program Development:* Contribute to ongoing refinement of our ?On the Road? mentorship and mental-health integration initiatives.
*Qualifications*
* *Consulting Psychiatrist:* MD or DO with child/adolescent psychiatry fellowship (or equivalent), licensed to practice in Alberta, and Board-eligible or certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
* *Consulting Psychologist:* PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists, with specialized training in youth and trauma-informed care.
* Minimum 5 years? experience in youth mental-health settings, demonstrating cultural competence and collaborative practice.
* Strong communication, leadership, and crisis-management skills.
