Millwrights are expected to understand the requirements of projects and maintain the highest quality of workmanship. Ability to work with little direction, work safely, maintain a positive attitude and work with integrity.Responsibilities
* repairing defective machine parts using welding and brazing tools
* operating hoisting and lifting devices, including cranes, jacks, and tractors, to position parts during installation
* aligning equipment using specialized tools, such as micrometres and plumb bobs
* performing preventative maintenance procedures and accurately logging maintenance
* reading blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
* inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities
* collaborating with construction teams and engineers
* applying mechanical repair principles and procedures to ensure machinery functions properly
* reviewing and following highly technical and complex machinery manuals
* visiting construction sites to assess potential problems
* disassembling machinery and transporting it to the appropriate storage location
* recommending equipment changes to management teams
* constructing foundations for machinery
* assembling machinery and equipment before installation using power tools and welding equipment
* performing diagnostic tests on functioning machinery to ensure it's safe
* operating machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts necessary for the overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery
* adjusting complex machinery for new patterns and products
* cleaning and lubricating machinery
* identifying differences in dimensions and shapes of components
Experience
* reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
* working in a team
* operating heavy-duty machinery
* assembling and disassembling mechanical equipment and industrial machinery
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
