About the Role

*Vicars School of Massage Therapy is hiring a Marketing Manager!*

This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to transform the marketing department at an established business. This is a newly created position, so you ll have the freedom to innovate beyond our current routine and to establish new strategies and processes?and plenty of support from existing staff to help you make them a reality. The role is the perfect combination of high-level planning and hands-on communications.

With campuses in Edmonton and Calgary, Vicars is a successful and progressive career college with a proven and respected focus on quality. The curriculum and delivery of our blended-learning diploma program meet the highest national standards and have earned us a reputation for putting students first. We want students who will thrive in the program and the career. We don?t take a hard-sell approach, we don?t have a revolving door for Admissions reps, nobody sells on commission, and we always tell the truth.

If you like the sound of that, and you are a marketing professional with the education and current experience we need, we can?t wait to meet you!

*Responsibilities*
We?re looking for a manager-creator to head up our small marketing department, and plan and execute effective *marketing plans* *and strategies* for our website, blog, social media, newsletters, and email marketing.

This is an in-house salaried position. We are not interested in being a client of an agency for this work. We need someone who is willing to get deep into our organization and become an expert on our needs.

Your job is to communicate the quality and unique selling points of the massage therapy program of Vicars School of Massage Therapy to prospective students and to promote the student clinics to prospective clients. Your goal is to ensure that the Admissions department has the number of qualified leads they need to fill classes, and that our supervised public clinics are well-attended throughout the year.

You will be responsible for the success of both paid and organic marketing, with the support of our small in-house team as well as our third-party paid marketing and SEO agency.

We have an existing contract with a digital marketing agency who consult on and manage our SEO and paid campaigns. You will work closely with them and review their paid-marketing campaigns and data. The marketing team is guided by the agency?s SEO expertise; the agency is guided by the team?s knowledge of the industry, our understanding of our target personas, the market, and our competitors. Together, we work to meet the school?s need for qualified prospects.

You will design and execute organic marketing strategies for our website pages, blog, social media, video platforms, etc, by:
* Working with the school?s other teams?Admissions, Curriculum, Clinic, and Executive?to understand their needs, goals, and audiences
* Planning marketing strategies and campaigns across all our platforms to meet those needs
* Working with the rest of the communications team to create and publish campaign content
* Act as project manager and oversee the work of the rest of the communications team

This will mean creating and editing some material yourself, as well as working with the rest of the communications team. The workload will vary throughout the year. We enroll new classes in March and September each year.

Other responsibilities:
* Reviewing and upholding the school?s branding and messaging
* Maintaining our communications assets library: photos, video, templates
* Establishing and refreshing current style guides for all Vicars School communications, including social media, emails, text messaging, and blog posts
* With direction from the executive director, managing the marketing budget

Occasionally, your team will be asked to work with other departments to write, copy-edit, or design other documents and material for consistent style, tone, and clarity. These may
