SFX Transport (Formerly Seafood Express) is recruiting a Heavy Duty Maintenance Technician to join our team! If you have 2-5 years' experience, we would love to hear from you!This is a full-time permanent position. Our technicians can expect to work 40hrs weekly with the occasional over time, work can be off-site and traveling to remote locations from time to time.Our technicians troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems, perform inspections and routine maintenance, repair and adjust mechanical components as well as ensuring a clean and safe work environment.Work with late model power units (2017 and newer)Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering and fuel, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.Inspect motors in operation, perform road tests, or use computerized diagnostic devices to diagnose and isolate faults and determine whether to repair or replace componentsPerforming such duties on equipment such as oil changes, alignments, tune up, tire changes, daily logsPerforming incidental welding operations and body workRed Seal truck and transport mechanic certificationHighschool diploma or GEDDriver's license and access to reliable transportationKnowledge of truck/trailersKnowledge of reefer/APUWorking in a long-haul transportation environment
