Little Kickers Head Coach - Greater Sudbury
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced *Head Coach* to oversee Little Kickers programs in Greater Sudbury This is a 3 - 5 years contract position. The Head Coach will take on a leadership role within our coaching team, ensuring the successful implementation of our Little Kickers soccer programs and maintaining high standards of coaching excellence.
Responsibilities:
Participate in coaches training sessions and ongoing professional development throughout the season.
Assist in the distribution of equipment and uniforms to coaches
Conduct on-site coach evaluations, providing constructive feedback and identifying equipment and uniform needs.
Maintain regular communication with the Coaching Manager - providing updates on staffing, evaluations, and program issues.
Cover coaching shifts as required
Respond promptly to emergency situations during sessions.
Ensure accurate completion of weekly attendance trackers for all program areas, reporting to the Coaching Manager upon completion.
Additional Duties:
Collaborate with the Coaching Manager to enhance program quality and effectiveness.
Support new coach onboarding and training initiatives.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment for coaches, participants, and co-workers.
Assist in program development and planning for future seasons.
Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience with young children (ages 18 months to 7 years) is preferred.
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for youth development through sports and recreation.
Valid coaching certifications or willingness to obtain (e.g., NCCP, First Aid/CPR)
A degree in Kinesiology, Sport, Recreation and/ or Education is preferred
Work Schedule and Compensation:
Hourly wage: Starting at $20/hour.
The majority of duties are during regular weekday (Evenings) and weekend shifts (Days) (10-15 hours / week)
