W.R. Davis Engineering Ltd. (Davis) is a dynamic mid-sized company specializing in the design of infrared (IR) signature solutions for both naval and aerospace platforms. *Overview: *

Our team is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer to manage and assist with assembly of our Active Shaft Grounding products. This position is full time, working onsite Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* Electrical Lab Management: Oversee and maintain the electrical lab to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
* Customer Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, addressing their technical needs and ensuring satisfaction.
* Team Management: Supervise and mentor electrical technicians, providing guidance and leadership to maintain high standards of performance.
* Project Scheduling: Plan and coordinate project timelines to ensure customer deadlines are met.
* Proposal Assistance: Collaborate in the preparation of technical proposals.
* Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs): Conduct FATs for various systems, providing engineering signoffs on test records.
* System Compatibility: Maintain functional compatibility with new and legacy systems, proactively addressing obsolescence issues.
* Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair multi-layer PCBs (through-hole) and other electro-mechanical modules.
* Safety and Quality: Ensure a safe working environment with proper ESD handling procedures; provide technical support to assembly technicians.
* Documentation: Prepare technical manuals, reports, and submit job-related SDRLs or technical information requests.

*Key Skills & Qualifications:*
* Electrical Components Knowledge: Strong understanding of linear circuits, op-amps, logic (TTL, HCT), MOSFETs, TVS diodes, relays, 4-20mA amplifiers, thermocouples, and RTDs.
* Circuit Knowledge: Proficiency in op-amp amplifiers/instrumentation, RC filters, closed-loop feedback, and AC power systems (115/230Vac 1Ph/3Ph, Delta or Wye).
* Instruments Proficiency: Hands-on experience with test instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, Hi-pot testers, insulation testers, multimeters, accelerometers, and microphones.
* Electrical Schematics: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and understand electrical symbols.
* Software Tools: Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio (Visio an asset).
* Must be able to obtain and maintain clearance to access Controlled Goods
* Must be able to obtain and maintain level NATO secret clearance

*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Bachelor?s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
* Proven experience in electrical engineering, with a strong background in system diagnostics and repairs.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
