*Overview*
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, seeking a dynamic and active position within our organisation. Candidates must possess a valid driver?s licence and have experience in commercial driving.
*Duties*
* Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
* Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
* Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption.
* Deliver goods to clients? premises or designated locations in a professional and courteous manner.
* Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays.
* Assist with warehouse organisation and inventory management as needed.
*Experience*
* Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving licences (e.g., HGV or LGV).
* Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
* Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools.
* Prior experience in warehouse environments or logistics roles is desirable but not essential. This role requires a dedicated individual capable of managing multiple deliveries daily while maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
