Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience. Asset languages: Spanish; Castilian. Work setting: Workshop. Tasks: Review work orders . Road test motor vehicles . Test automotive systems and components. Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems. Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications. Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs . Perform scheduled maintenance service. Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements. Complete reports to record problems and work performed. Provide customer service. Apprenticeship training: Level two apprenticeship training. Level three apprenticeship training. Level four apprenticeship training. Area of specialization: Engine repair. Electrical and electronic system. Diagnostics. Brake system. Hydraulic system. Fuel and emission system. Ignition and electrical system. Automatic transmission. Standard transmission. Engine repair and overhaul. Drive train components. Front end components. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Drive manual transmission vehicle.
